hayway gives a microschool or learning co-op the operating tools a small school needs: programs with standing enrollment, a roster, daily attendance, recurring tuition, a family portal, and instructor accounts. Without the parts a licensed daycare needs and you do not.

The families who keep their own records
Many microschool and co-op families homeschool the rest of the week and keep their own records for it. Some of them use hearth, our separate product for exactly that. If they do, you can invite them to connect their household to your program.
Your families keep their own records in hearth. You contribute attendance, fees, and updates they choose to accept. The family decides which of their learners you know about and what you may send, either side can stop the connection at any time, and you never see their records.
Connecting is live today. Sending attendance, fees, and activity updates through the connection is still being built, so nothing flows through it yet.

- What counts as a microschool here?
- A small school, learning pod, or homeschool co-op that meets on a schedule, keeps a roster, and collects tuition or fees. If you run programs for other people's children, this fits.
- Do we have to be licensed?
- No. hayway does not require a license, and licensing and ratio surfaces are off by default because many microschools and co-ops are license-exempt. You can turn them on if your state or your insurer expects them. Confirm your own obligations with your state; hayway does not determine them for you.
- How does the connection to hearth work?
- hearth is our separate product for homeschool families who keep their own records. If a family in your program uses it, you can invite them to connect. They choose which of their learners you know about and what you may send them, and either side can stop it at any time. You never see their records. Sending them attendance, fees, and activity updates is still being built, so nothing flows through the connection yet.
- What does it cost?
