- Program
- On My Way Pre-K (FSSA / OECOSL)
- Age eligibility
- Child must be 4 by August 1 of the program year and starting kindergarten the next year; available statewide.
- Income eligibility
- Household income at or below 135% FPL (limited vouchers up to 185% FPL while funding lasts), and a parent/guardian working, in school, or in job training.
- Provider requirements
- Community-based programs and public/charter schools must be Paths to QUALITY (PTQ) Level 3 or 4; private/nonpublic schools must hold an OECOSL-approved accreditation. All must meet CCDF provider-eligibility standards (need not accept CCDF vouchers) and use the ISPROUT child assessment. Apply via the OMW Pre-K Provider Application + Agreement.
- Funding
- State-funded voucher (FSSA OECOSL): up to $6,800/yr ($147.82/week). The 2026-2027 program year is capped at about 2,500 children statewide; the cap and rate change each year.
- Education department role
- The Indiana Dept of Education (IDOE) sets the Early Learning Foundations/Standards (birth to age 5, aligned to the 2023 Indiana Academic Standards) and partners with FSSA/OECOSL via its Office of Kindergarten Readiness and the shared ISPROUT assessment; FSSA runs the On My Way Pre-K funding.
